Chandler Dean is a comedy writer/performer from Houston, Texas, now based in Brooklyn.

Currently, he is a Senior Director at the speechwriting firm West Wing Writers, where he leads the firm's humor practice—and his work for clients has been published in outlets like The New Yorker, the Washington Post, and USA Today. In 2024, he will perform on Harold Night—the flagship improv show of UCB Theatre.

His writing has been featured in The New YorkerMcSweeney's, Reductress, and Hard Drive. He hosts/produces SpeakEasy, a speechwriting comedy show, as well as Abolish Everything, a fast-paced comedy debate show—both at Caveat, one of the greatest basements in New York City. His YouTube channel, ChandlerDeanVideos, has accumulated over 22,000 subscribers and 6 million views.  And he's written jokes for the President of the United States.

Previously, Chandler was a Monologue Writer for the Crooked Media podcast Lovett or Leave It. He has also been a Production Intern at The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, a Writers Room Intern at Late Night with Seth Meyers, and a Field Intern at Full Frontal with Samantha Bee. At Late Night, he wrote 100+ setups for monologue jokes that made air, and at Full Frontal, he pitched the Shark Tank joke in this field piece.

He is the co-host of not one, but TWO podcasts: The Daily Show Weekly, a quixotic effort to watch every episode of Jon Stewart's Daily Show, with his buddy Vic Shuttee; and Uncertified Fresh, a movie review/prediction podcast, with his wife Carolina Treviño.

He has created and performed two full-length comedy shows: Carpetbagger at Birth and An Evening of Stories and Sounds with Chandler Dean, both of which can be seen in full on YouTube. He also wrote for What the Patriarchy Means to Me, a late-night-style sketch show starring Liz Plank at UCB Theatre.

And you KNOW that he performs improv, characters, and stand-up comedy all OVER the city!
